Kenneth Brown a Native of Sanford, Florida has lived in Tallahassee for 20 years. He graduated from Florida A & M University in 2003 with a B.S. in Health-Care Administration. He earned his M.S. Degree in Mental Health Counseling from Capella University 2018. Kenneth is currently a Registered Mental Health Counselor Intern who anticipates on taking the LMHC Exam to be a fully licensed Therapist soon. He is also currently working on his PhD for Counseling Psychology. Before he entered into counseling Kenneth was an Elementary and Middle School teacher for more than 10 years in the Leon County Area. He is passionate about educating and empowering individuals to meet their everyday needs. He is persistent in helping individuals overcome obstacles holistically through a Wellness Method. Using clinically tested and evidenced based interventions, Kenneth has worked with many individuals on a mental and spiritual level. Kenneth specializes in working with children and adolescences, adults of all ages, behavioral issues, school issues, stress, self esteem, grief, overcoming- depression, anxiety, family conflict and relationship issues. His theoretical approach is integrative based using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), Rational Emotion Behavioral Therapy (REBT), Reality Therapy and Person Centered Therapy. Dr. Wisbey is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the State of Florida with a Doctor of Philosophy in Counseling and Human Development Services. She has served as an educator, advisor and counselor at several higher education institutions working in the area of disability, diversity and crisis management. As a clinician she utilizes a systems strengths based approach that is therapeutic, empowering and developmental. She works with individuals, couples and groups to create positive, resilient and manageable change in their lives. Assisting clients with disabilities, either acquired or congenital in full participation and engagement in their communities is a strong area of interest as well as experience for Dr. Wisbey. In addition, cultural and psychosocial identity are areas that she has received intentional training at the University of Georgia and Emory University in Georgia. She provides treatment for individuals presenting with anxiety, depression, behavior disorders (AD/HD, ODD, CD), mood disorders, thought disorders, PTSD, substance abuse or dependence, and relational issues. She is well-versed in a number of different types of evaluations including clinical, psycho-educational as well as bariatric assessments. Elaine, originally from Canada, received a Bachelor of Social Work degree from Ryerson University in Toronto. While in Toronto, Elaine worked with those infected and affected by HIV/AIDS. She moved to Florida and obtained a Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling. She completed postgraduate studies in addiction counseling at Hazelden and became a Certified Addictions Counselor. Elaine has worked in behavioral health for the past 25 years. She is a person-centered therapist who uses various therapeutic modalities including; motivational interviewing, cognitive behavioral therapy, and dialectical behavioral therapy. She has experience working with people with mental health conditions such as; depression, anxiety, PTSD, relationship difficulties, those managing medical issues, and addictions. She specializes in working with substance users and the families and loved ones affected by their loved ones use. Elaine enjoys spending time with her husband and their family. Jenai Hicks is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC). She was born and raised in Quincy, FL and currently lives in Tallahassee, FL with her cat Chimora. Jenai has 5 years of experience in providing therapy services to individuals and groups, and primarily works with adults and adolescents.
