MEDICATION-ASSISTED TREATMENT

Medication-Assisted Treatment is the use of FDA approved medications, in combination with counseling and behavioral therapies, to provide a “whole-patient” approach to the treatment of substance use disorders. The combination of medications with therapies that teach the recovering user how to manage cravings and triggers for relapse on a cognitive/emotional level promotes extended periods of sobriety. We use drug testing as an objective measure of treatment efficacy and a tool to monitor patient progress. The Medication that is most often prescribed for withdrawal of Opiates are Suboxone and Buprenorphine.  *Please note Insurance does not cover the Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) program.
